When I was first contacted by Josie who had this brilliant idea she wanted me to photograph -- I was SO excited. We spent almost an hour on the phone one day and she took me thru the ideas she had and how they would coordinate with a song that is very special to them and their relationship. This session along with the song would soon serve as the official announcement of their pregnancy. Being asked to capture love and the joys of pregnancy all in a military theme was a dream come true! Every last detail was meticulously planned, and I wanted to perfectly bring to life Josie's vision for this exciting time! The day of our session blessed us with the most perfect weather and access to an area that couldn't have been better suited for all the ideas we had to photograph! The outfits (the first dress once belonged to Josie's mom) , Josie's love for the 1940's era, pinup style hair and make-up, along with the vintage buggy provided endless creative possibilities! As we were chatting we discovered that my husband and Nathan actually used to work together - 11 years ago when my husband was still in the service! What a small world! This is one of my absolute favorite sessions to date, and am so excited for these two to welcome their baby boy in the fall! Congratulations Josie and Nathan! Here are some of my favorite shots from this shoot!
